The gesture begins at the arrival. Cantilevered beams frame the entry and set the direction of approach, each carrying a line of light along its length. That angled logic then extends through the rest of the house, from the rooflines to the transitions between volumes, giving the composition a quiet directionality and tension.
Materiality softens that discipline. Vein-cut travertine clads walls and columns in a pale stone whose fine striation catches raking light across the day. Warm wood slats face the volumes beside the entry, adding grain where the stone would read as continuous surface. Black-framed glazing holds the whole in crisp lines.
Landscape completes the balance. Dense tropical planting presses in on every side, square pavers set with grass joints carry the geometry from the drive to the threshold, and at the rear the pool sits raised in its own travertine surround, level with the terrace.
This residence is an exercise in balance. Grounded in its logic. Sculptural in its gesture.
